Death! Does it end here?

Death! does it end here?

What is “death”? Like what is the definition of it?

Is it “the thickening of breath, the visual of black dots infront of your eyes, the beating of heart coming to a stop”? Is that death or is it “the feeling of relaxation in your mind and soul, the exterior sounds coming to a stop, the tingling feeling of air on your finger tips, the feeling of a weightage suddenly being lifted from your chest and a sudden calmness in your heart knowing very well that you won’t be able to open your eyes tomorrow”.

What is death to be actual?

Is it scary? Or is it soothing?

Is it merciless? Or is it compassionate?

Is it a feeling of nervousness? Or is it peaceful?

Is it really ugly? Or is it beautiful?

Is it the end of one’s life? Or is it the starting of another being?

What is it?

Many people say that they fear death but why? Is it because of the stories related to the “Grim Reaper”? Or because of the news articles and paragraphs they all see daily?

On the other hand, there are people who don’t fear it. It’s like that they are ready to embrace death but still why? Is it because they feel like death can give them the freedom they always wanted? Or is it because it feels like peace to them?

The google defines Death as “an irreversible process where someone looses their existence as a person”.

But is that really true? Is it really that simple? Can a person loose their existence just like this? What about the people he/she loved? What about the words he/s”h told? What about the feelings he/she felt through his/her journey of life? What about the memories he/she made? What about the promises he/she made? What about all those?

Is it really that easy to define something so conceptual as death? Or is there more depth to it?

And even if it was, while going by the Google’s definition then again a question arises. If it is really irreversible then why are people trying to outsmart something like death? Why they are trying to find a “cure” for it as if it is some kind of disease? Why are they trying to win over the concept of death? Why? Is it because they fear it or is It because they want to feel superior to it?

There are many questions lying beneath the word “Death” and it will take many more years for us, human beings to find the answers to every question. But even if we does find it, will it be easy to define death by that time?

Like what is “death”? What is the definition of it?

“Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no to-morrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at piece.”
